Parque Natural de Lucainena
Lucainena is a place to rest. Time moves on slowly in the village of the seven towers, built by the Moorishes in the fifteenth century, the eighteenth century parish church and the centenary tree of the square of the town hall. The entire village and the old windmill are discerned from the viewpoint of ‘El Pollo de la Cruz’. And we will be able to savour the cold water of the mountain range that comes from the source of the Peñón River. With almost seven hundred inhabitants, Lucainena de las Torres is located at 53 km. from Almería. It is a perfect place to be surrounded by the calmness of nature without going away from big cities. It is renowned for its gastronomy, its olive oil and famous wines. You will be able to enjoy Cabo de Gata beaches, up to 8 golf courses, a speedway, 7 leisure harbours and a western village in less than 30 minutes.
